Online Trauma Therapy for Los Angeles Residents

We are cups, constantly and quietly being filled. The trick is, knowing how to tip ourselves over and let the beautiful stuff out.
-Ray Bradbury

deep, Somatic work without Getting on the 405

Anyone who has spent an hour in traffic to get to a 50-minute appointment knows how much of yourself is used up before the session even starts. Trauma work goes better when your system arrives with some room to breathe. Online sessions let you log in from a space you've chosen, wherever you are in LA, whether that's Glendale, Venice, the South Bay or somewhere else entirely. If privacy is a concern, we'll figure it out together, whether that means headphones, a closed door, or a parked car.

How I Help
I work with adults healing from trauma, complex PTSD, anxiety, and the long echo of childhood experiences. Depending on what you need, we might draw on:

  • EMDR therapy, to help painful memories lose some of their charge

  • Somatic Experiencing, to listen to what your body is telling us, at a pace it can handle

  • Mindfulness-based therapy, to help you stay present and grounded

  • Good old-fashioned talk therapy, when you just need to talk things through

What Working Together Feels Like
We begin with a free 15-minute conversation. Ask me anything, and notice how it feels to talk with me. I’m a strong believer in a collaborative approach to therapy, so please don’t feel shy if you have any questions about what to expect in a session or how I might work with you. If it doesn’t feel like we’re a good match, I’ll help you find someone who is a better fit, no problem.

Fees and Insurance
My fee is $250 per session, with a limited number of sliding-scale spots. I'm out of network, and I'm happy to provide a superbill you can submit to your insurance for possible reimbursement.

A few Questions
Do you have an office in Los Angeles?
No, my practice is fully online, and I see clients across California by secure video.

Do I need to be in California?
Yes. My license is in California, so you need to be physically here during our sessions, even if you're only here temporarily.

Can EMDR really be done online?
It can, and many people prefer it! I wrote about what the research says here.

What if I'm not sure online therapy is right for me?
That's what the free consultation is for. I'll be honest about whether I think we're a good fit, and if we're not, I'll help you find someone who is.

More questions?
See my FAQ page or contact me and we can talk it through. To see the other areas I serve, visit Where I Work.

If you're in Los Angeles and ready to slow down, reconnect, and feel more at home in your body and your life, I'd love to hear from you!
